Why a Bed and Breakfast versus a hotel or motel?

It begins the moment you arrive. Step inside and discover inviting living areas and guest rooms unique in décor and style, many with luxuries such as fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, garden patios, and king sized beds.  The bed and breakfasts themselves are as varied as their proprietors. Some are located in residential neighborhoods or within walking distance of shopping; others border the Coconino National Forest, with endless networks of hiking trails beginning right at the property line; and many offer breathtaking views of Sedona’s Red Rocks. All of our inspected properties are required to meet exacting standards for ambiance, house keeping, and hospitality. There are bed and breakfasts for romantics, nature lovers, hikers, golfers, and those who just want to kick back and relax.

Would we have a private bathroom?
Yes. All members of the association must have private bathrooms for all their rooms.

Do the B & Bs require a deposit? What are the cancellation  policies?
 These policies are always in writing and are standard to the industry. 
When booking, please check with your B & B for their individual policies.

What is the weather like?
Sedona has four mild seasons. Temperatures generally average 10-15 degrees cooler than Phoenix and 10-15 degrees warmer than Flagstaff.  For current weather information and all the statistics you could want, please visit Silverbear's Weather Report.

When is high season in Sedona?
Sedona is in season year round!  Spring and fall are the busiest times due to our wonderful weather.  Holiday periods are festive and special. Summer and winter are quieter and offer the visitor a more relaxed pace.

How do we get to Sedona?
There are three airports that conveniently access Sedona.
 · Phoenix - 2 hour drive
 · Las Vegas - 5 hour drive
 · Albuquerque - 6 hour drive
To get the most out of your Sedona experience, an automobile is required.

Can we see the Grand Canyon as a day trip from Sedona?
 Yes. The Grand Canyon is an easy 2 hour drive from Sedona. Your hosts will be happy to provide easy directions. There are also commercial tours that begin right in town.
